Nepal's Future; Startup Summit 2023
The Startup Network Nepal is planning to host a Startup Summit in The Capital City of Kathmandu on 9th September 2023. This event plays the role of connecting investors, innovators and entrepreneurs with each other organised by Aloft Kathmandu.
For a country like Nepal, Startup Summit is always going to be huge, not only for the economic growth of the country but the social growth too, away from the stigma of getting a risk-free job. People who attend the event do not have to be entrepreneurs with small businesses looking for angel investors but can also be future entrepreneurs looking for motivation. There shall be many Keynote Speakers giving speeches who are successful entrepreneurs. Along with them, it will serve as a platform for individuals to form a good network and engage in various panel discussions.
Obviously, this Summit is very useful for startups to find angel investors or raise some money for their business through crowdfunding. Individuals with good financial backgrounds can increase their wealth rather than keep their money idle and Startups that need funding can sore through the skies. It really makes us wonder why Television shows like Shark Tank aren’t a common occurrence in Nepal which can be blamed on the lack of encouragement from the government. There isn’t a strict enough law for Copyright and Trademark in Nepal and it's not very easy to establish the Trademark.
Even then, startups and aspiring entrepreneurs are encouraged to seize this excellent opportunity to learn from experienced industry leaders, stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the startup world, and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for innovation and business. The Startup Summit Nepal 2023 promises a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere, where participants can look forward to abundant networking opportunities, knowledge-sharing, and the chance to discover some of the most promising and exciting startup ventures that may shape the future.
Events like these need to occur at a higher rate in a country like Nepal where the potential is limitless. However, in a place where birds are encouraged to chop off their wings, they cannot fly out from the roof of the enclosure. Encouragement in these events needs to start from us before the organizers or the government.
