World Cup Fever Returns

After 4 years of waiting, the FIFA world cup has returned. It will take place in Qatar for this year(2022.) Football is the most popular sport all around the world, so without a doubt the most popular sports tournament in the world is the FIFA world cup. It is hosted every 4 years in a certain nation all around the world. 32 teams participate in this tournament for 1 to be crowned the winner of the world cup and be called the best football team in the world. 

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will kick off on a Monday with four matches in Qatar. The World Cup final will still be held on a Sunday, as per tradition. The trophy will be hoisted by the winner on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022.

Two countries are always certain to qualify for the world-cup being the previous winner(France) and the hosting country(Qatar). Apart from that there have been 13 nations from Europe to qualify for the tournament, four from South America, four from Asia, five from Africa, and three from North America.

This is the official table for the group match. From each group 2 teams move forward into the knockout stage. Teams have to win 4 matches straight without a single loss to be crowned the winner of the world cup, any losses and the team is out of the competition.

The youth is excited to see who will win the upcoming cup, and all eyes are held open for 21st of November, first match being Netherlands vs Senegal.
